Hi-fi enthusiasts will soon be able to check the time in style, as watchmakers AndoAndoAndo are previewing their upcoming Vinyl Record Automatic Watch. Designed by Yu Ando, this watch isn’t just styled after the vague idea of a turntable, it’s actually inspired directly by the iconic Technics SL-1200 (now part of Panasonic). Debuting in the early 1970’s, the Technics SL-1200 quickly rose from a household turntable to a favorite of DJs in the burgeoning disco and hip-hop scenes.

The mini-turntable’s tonearm functions as the minute hand, and while there are no numbers on the watch’s face, the outermost section of the platter is adorned with small dots that can be use to track the time. The AndoAndoAndo Vinyl Record Automatic watch is powered by Miyota 9039 Premium automatic movement, and available in three colorways: red-black-silver, black-gold-black, and a limited-edition all-gold variant. Pricing starts at $439, with the all-gold variant (limited to 30 pieces) runs for $456. AndoAndoAndo says that the next batch of watches is slated to ship at the end of this month and into the beginning of April.
