Samsung holds European records for largest LED circle and largest LED cube

No word on any LED triangles, ovals, or squares at press time.

Samsung Electronics has recently accomplished an impressive feat: the installation of the largest circular LED signage in Europe, as well as the largest LED cube in Europe.

The circular signage is part of the “Chasseurs de Tornades” (Tornado Hunters) attraction at the Futuroscope amusement park in Poitiers, France. The signage installed is officially the largest 360 degree LED display in Europe. Made up of 800 LED cabinets and featuring a whopping 21K resolution, the display allows visitors of the attraction to see, hear, and feel what it would be like to be inside of a tornado. More information about the installation and attraction can be found here.

The cube is part of an updated display in the Swiss Life Arena in Switzerland. Primarily functioning as an ice hockey arena for the ZSC Lions, the arena’s updated display has brought it up to code to meet the National Hockey League’s (NHL) standards, which very rarely happens outside of North America. The centerpiece cube display measures a massive 12(w)x12(d)x8(h) meters to ensure perfect visibility from any of the 12,000 seats. More about the arena and display upgrades can be found here.
