Sonos has just parted ways with some of its top talent in design and product development. Bloomberg reports that Dana Krieger, a vice president of design and 12-year veteran with the brand, is one of the notable names leaving.
In addition to Krieger, senior user experience exec Kate Wojogbe and industry veteran Scott Fink are also leaving the company. Fink is credited for helping develop the home theater business and helping shape Sonos’ identity as an audio brand.
The layoffs also affected the company’s design team, and former employees have mentioned that the user experience research division at Sonos has been affected.
A company spokesperson told Bloomberg that the 3% workforce reduction was focused on “removing layers and streamlining our teams so that they can execute with greater autonomy and speed.”
Layoffs did not affect the Commercial Sales division for Pro AV and Luke Heckel remains Commercial Sales Manager, Americas.
