Sony has unveiled its 2025 TV lineup, including a new QD-OLED flagship model and mini-LED TV. The company has also introduced a new entry-level option to its Bravia line at a lower price point. All new models support easy integration with the company’s new Bravia audio offerings.
The new Bravia 8 II, which replaces the A95L as the line’s flagship, features a QD-OLED display that Sony says is 25% brighter than the A95L. The company also announced that the Bravia 8 II will also be available at a more affordable price than its other QD-OLED models. In addition to its brighter display, the Bravia 8 II also features an enhanced color gamut thanks to the TV’s XR processor which powers XR Triluminos Max and XR Contrast Booster technology. For those that don’t wish to use external speakers, Sony says its Acoustic Surface Audio + tech emits sound directly from the screen’s surface to create what it claims is a cinematic audio experience.

On the mini-LED front, the Bravia 5 brings the backlit technology into a more affordable package. The Bravia 5 succeeds the X90L, and boasts Sony’s largest mini-LED models to date, with sizes ranging all the way up to 98″. Sony says that the Bravia 5 features six times more dimming zones than the X90L, while also including advanced features such as HDMI 2.1 (enabling 4K 120fps), Dolby Vision and Atmos, and IMAX Enhanced DTS:X.
Lastly, Sony says it is lowering the entry point into its Bravia line with the Bravia 2 II. The new model brings features like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support to a more affordable tier, while visual enhancements include 4K2-upscaling. The Braivia 2 II will be available in sizes ranging from 43″ to 75″ class.
