Pictures and videos spreading on social media show the aftermath of the purported collapse of a temporary wall at Universal Orlando. In the clips shared, wooden framing is strewn about a walkway that stretches over a roadway.
Guests present during the incident report that the collapse happened during a thunderstorm with particularly heavy winds. A wall present on the walkway gave way, falling on top of guests and creating a chaotic scene. No injuries have been reported, and aftermath photos show Universal employees assessing the scene to determine what had occurred.
When asked by News 6 what caused the incident to occur, and if changes had been made since the event, a Universal representative responded, “we do not comment on pending claims.”
