For 60 years now, Universal Studios Hollywood has been offering its famous backstage tour, taking guests on a journey to visit iconic film and TV sets and memorabilia while sharing behind-the-scenes stories that have captivated audiences for generations. For the 60th anniversary version of the tour, which operates through August 11, Doc Brown of Back to the Future fame takes guests through six decades of Universal Studios, offering a peek from the studio’s inception through modern day. The new, revamped tour features several elements from the original tram tour that opened in 1964.

In addition to Doc Brown, other new features of the tour include the return of the Runaway Train that was featured on the tour throughout the 80’s, an opportunity for guests to explore the set of Bates Motel from the movie Psycho, as well as several staged photo ops that tribute different decades of Universal Studios movie magic, such as a 3D replica of the “Glacier Expedition” attraction that was available to guests through the 70’s.
