As the vinyl record business continues its steady comeback, luxury audio company VPI Industries is looking to help vinyl enthusiasts future-proof their turntables with the introduction of its new Forever Series. Designed to be completely modular, with components that can be upgraded separately over time, the first product in the Forever Series is the Model One, featuring a three-point floating suspension system and a VPI S-Tonearm. VPI Industries says that the motor, platter module, and tonearm module are all “easy to replace.”
The idea for the Forever Series has been around for quite some time, according to post on the company’s Facebook account. Plans for the Model One were shelved during the pandemic in 2020, but now VPI Industries says “we’re ready to make it a reality and turn the tables for VPI Forever.” The company says that future additions to the Forever Series such as an upcoming Model Two or Model Three will be able to be purchased whole or as separate components, meaning Model One owners will be able to upgrade their turntables over time.
