Pudu Robotics has introduced the FlashBot Arm, a wheeled-robot that looks to deliver materials and assist humans in office buildings, healthcare spaces, and any other areas where people congregate. Pudu calls its new device a “semi-humanoid embodied AI service robot.” In addition to a touchscreen face for communicating, the FlashBot Arm, as its name would suggest, features a pair of three-jointed arms that end with Pudu’s DH11 robotic hands. Pudu says that these hands are capable of carrying packages, swiping keycards, and pressing elevator buttons.

The FlashBot Arm is said to be able to engage in basic conversation with humans via its integrated speaker and microphone, thanks to a built-in AI-powered LLM. Pudu says it is able to navigate autonomously, utilizing its multiple onboard sensors and cameras in tandem with a VSLAM (visual simultaneous localization and mapping) system. While Pudu has not announced any availability details, it would appear as if the company is gearing up for a full-scale launch.
