Panasonic has devised a clever way to help people stay cool and display signage at the same time. Called ‘Silky Fine Mist,’ the cooling solution produces a super fine dry mist that the company says does not feel wet to the touch. Moving graphics are then beamed onto the mist, creating a transparent display that can be freely walked through. Panasonic says they debuted the solution in 2019 to combat the intense heat Japan was experiencing, and since then it has been picked up by train stations and volleyball courts. “Recently, the solution has begun to go beyond simply relieving heat stress and is being utilized for various applications such as to create unique spaces for art, entertainment, and exceptional guest rooms,” says Panasonic.
