To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Disneyland’s opening, as well as the legacy of a beloved songwriter, Disney Parks will be making a modification to the original It’s A Small World attraction by adding an extended cut of the ride’s iconic song. In what will be the first-ever addition to the attraction’s main theme, It’s A Small World will feature a never-before heard final verse written by songwriter Richard Sherman, which was left to Bob Iger shortly before Sherman’s passing last year.

It’s A Small World was originally installed at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, before finding its permanent home at Disneyland in 1966, nearly 60 years ago. Since then, versions of the ride have popped up at nearly every Disney park, showcasing its theme of unity and world peace. To honor Sherman’s contributions and lasting legacy, Disney released the video above, which features the unreleased final verse. This final verse will begin playing at the original It’s A Small World attraction at Disneyland beginning July 17 to celebrate the park’s 70th birthday.
