In a new video uploaded by Disney, the Imagineers behind Disney Parks special effects break down one of the oldest visual illusions still used in entertainment today: Pepper’s ghost. Famously employed at mainstay Disney attractions including Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror, Pepper’s Ghost may be a primitive technique by today’s standards, but it still delivers an illusion so convincing that it will most likely never go out of style.
