A version of PNDbotics’ Adam robot made its debut as the keyboard player in Hu Yutong’s band at China’s recent VOYAGEX Music Festival. Adam was joined on stage by a support team to make sure nothing went awry, and the performance was most likely pre-programmed. This version of Adam was the SP model, which features five-digit articulating hands and stands 5.5 feet tall.
PNDbotics also manufactures a U model that gets around on a wheeled base as opposed to two legs. The U model will be the first to launch publicly in September, starting at a price of $45,000, while other models will start as high as $100,000. Whether or not this price comes includes automated keyboard jams from your new robot is still unknown.
