To commemorate ‘Fantastic Four: The First Steps’ hitting theaters, alongside Disneyland’s ongoing 70th Anniversary celebrations, the exterior of Space Mountain attraction is illuminated at night with a special projection mapping show. Created by Disney’s VFX and Visual Systems teams, the projection mapping effects run throughout the course of the evening, with Disney confirming that the treatment will continue through September 21st. While it appears only the Disneyland location of the iconic coaster is getting this treatment, the original version at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, had a special moment of its own earlier this year to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of its opening.
