Two years ago, NVIDIA showcased its new Eye Contact feature that had just received its Beta release. An AI-powered tool for the company’s Broadcast software, the feature was designed to let users appear as if they are gazing directly into their webcam, even when they aren’t. Judging by NVIDIA’s video, the feature worked as advertised, but could be a little unsettling at times. Here in early 2025, the Eye Contact tool has officially released, along with a slew of other AI tools designed to enhance users’ audio and video when recording, streaming, or engaging in a work meeting.
In a new video, The Verge’s Owen Grove showcases the new tools, which include the Eye Contact feature as well as options to simulate a key light, reduce video noise, and an impressive tool that boosts the audio quality of a sub-par microphone.
