Repair specialists iFixit have published their teardown and repairability review for the ultra-thin Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. While iFixit is impressed with the phone’s svelte design aesthetic, they note that Samsung had to make some compromises when it comes to heat dissipation to compensate for the phone’s reduced mass. As a result, the S25 Edge’s performance is observed to throttle under heavy workloads compared to its contemporaries. That said, iFixit is very thankful for Samsung’s continued commitment to easy battery replacement, as well as the modular design of the USB-C port, which reviewers call “simple and elegant.” Overall, iFixit it gives the S25 Edge a repairability score of 5/10, gaining points for the battery and port design, but maligning the phone’s heavy use of adhesive, scarce availability of parts, and incomplete guides.
