As this summer’s sweltering heat continues to oppress the northern hemisphere, Harbin City, China is keeping things cool by opening the world’s largest indoor snow and ice park. Featuring nine themed sections, Harbin Ice and Snow World Park opened July 6th and has been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest indoor ice and snow park in the world.

An engineering marvel, the 23,800 square meter (256,181 square foot) park is the product of 10,000 artists who filled its themed sections with ice sculptures and interactive projects featuring complex AV installations. According to CNN, the park opened during a heat wave in Harbin City, with temperatures reaching 84 degrees F. Meanwhile, the interior of the park maintained a temperature range of 17.6 F to 10.4 F In addition, the park houses the country’s largest indoor ski resort, featuring eight trails over 80,000 square meters.
