Zoom CEO sees a path to a three day workweek with AI

Eric Yuan joins the likes of Bill Gates and Jensen Huang by predicting a shorter workweek ahead

Zoom CEO has a history of making bold claims about his vision for the future. From predicting a world where AI clones attend meetings for us, to actually utilizing an AI clone to deliver an earnings report, Yuan wants to take us to a world we have more time to enjoy life by offloading tasks to artificial intelligence.

In a new interview with the New York Times, Yuan predicts that AI will eliminate the five day workweek, allowing Americans to have more time for themselves.

“I feel like if AI can make all of our lives better, why do we need to work for five days a week?” said Yuan. “Every company will support three days, four days a week. I think this ultimately frees up everyone’s time.”

Yuan’s comments echo the likes of Bill Gates and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who have gone on record stating that developments in technology AI will bring about a shorter workweek.
