Zoom meetings will be hitting the road–well, in a couple years. Sony Honda Mobility Inc., a joint-venture between Sony and Honda Motor Company, have announced that Zoom Meetings will be an in-car service for its Afeela electric vehicles.
Sony Honda Mobility revealed its Afeela prototype in January of 2023, which features 45 cameras and sensors on the interior and exterior of the vehicle. Preorders for the Afeela EV are scheduled to open up early next year, with the first round of shipping scheduled for spring 2026. The joint-venture’s new announcement reveals that Afeela drivers will be able to utilize the EV’s expansive touchscreen, which covers nearly the entire dashboard, to participate in Zoom meetings.

“Zoom Meetings allows AFEELA customers to conduct smooth meetings with anyone in the world from the comfort of their cars using the in-car touchscreen, camera and microphone,” says Sony Honda Mobility.
Additional information about Zoom’s integration, such as whether they are restricted only to when the car is parked, is expected to release soon. We’ll be sure to update this article with further information from Sony Honda Mobility when it becomes available.
