JBL Professional took a fresh look at its EON portable loudspeaker series and came up with the new EON515XT, using technology it developed for JBL PRX600 self-powered speakers. The result, according to the company, is a speaker that has better input sensitivity, a lower noise floor, user-selectable EQ control, and a re-voiced system for better performance. The two-way speaker has a JBL 2414H high-frequency neodymium compression driver, 15-inch JBL 265F-1 Differential Drive dual-voice-coil woofer, and proprietary Crown class D amplifier. It delivers 132 dB maximum SPL. The speaker’s input sensitivity has been increased by 10 dB, and in addition to the user-adjustable EQ with bass and treble controls, the EON515XT has a three-channel mixer. 818-894-8850. www.jblpro.com.
