Atlona Technologies has released a new series of video matrix switchers for Component, Composite, and S-Video applications. The company estimates 20 million U.S. customers still use Component as their main video connection.

For AV Component switching, Atlona now offers the AT-COMP-42M and AT-COMP-88M. The COMP-42M has four Component inputs and two component outputs, while the COMP-88M offers eight inputs and eight outputs. Both matrix switchers feature lossless Component with stereo audio and digital optical/coaxial connection, says the company, as well as manual, IR, or RS-232 control.

For Composite/S-Video, Atlona released the AT-SAV-42M and AT-SAV-84M. The SAV-42M has four Composite and four S-Video inputs broadcasting to two Composite and two S-Video outputs, while the SAV-84M boasts eight Composite and eight S-video inputs going out to four Composite and four S-Video inputs. Both feature stereo audio and manual and IR control.

All models in the new line are compatible with most third-party control systems, such as AMX, RTI, or Control 4, says the company.

All of Atlona's new matrix switchers are currently available at the following price points: AT-COMP-42M, $399; AT-COMP-88M, $1,999; AT-SAV-42M, $189; and AT-SAV-84M, $699.
