AVTEQ, which makes videoconferencing carts and mounts, has its eye on the telemedicine market with its new mobile cart offering. The AVTEQ TMP-600 Telemedicine Cart is for use in clinics and medical offices tending to remote patient care, says the company.

AVTEQ designed the TMP-600 Telemedicine Cart in conjunction with the Health Sciences department of a Texas university, according to AVTEQ officials. The cart will be used in the university’s rural clinic project to help connect patients with specialized care to which they may not otherwise have access.

The TMP-600 is a fully functional, complete cart available to order with a single part number. It includes an integrated, universal locking screen mount system that holds a single display up to 42 inches and comes standard with an integrated adjustable-height camera platform for use with any videoconferencing system.

AVTEQ’s Telemedicine Cart can be further customized to meet the needs of each individual medical institution, with interior room to hold medical equipment.
