Biamp has made several organizational changes expected to help position the company for future growth. The changes include additional responsibilities for members of the leadership team, internal promotions, and a new employee hire.

Matt Czyzewski, formerly vice president of engineering, has assumed the responsibility of vice president of business development. In this position, Czyzewski will apply his industry experience and technical background to enhance and expand Biamp’s product management function, according to the company. He will also be responsible for searching out and developing cooperative activities and partnerships. The product development and application engineering teams now report to Czyzewski.

Jason Damori, formerly firmware development manager, has been promoted to director of engineering, leading Biamp’s engineering department and managing the development of new products.

Mark Behrens, formerly software development manager, has been appointed to the newly created position of senior software technology manager. The goal of this position, says the company, is to ensure that all of the company’s software and firmware code is consistent and that product-to-product and system-to-system communication and compatibility is seamless, intuitive, and effective. Behrens is also responsible for managing ongoing software and firmware development.

Will McKamey, who was promoted to replace Behrens as software development manager, will now report to Behrens, as will Mark Janes, who was promoted to firmware development manager.

Gina Napoli, director of marketing, has also taken on the responsibility for managing Biamp’s North American and international training directors, Ned Ludlum and Kevin Jacobson.

In an effort to streamline the materials and manufacturing functions, Bryn Crotty, materials manager, now reports directly to Paula Linn, vice president, manufacturing.

In addition to the in-house appointments, Biamp has hired Duane Lundsten as director of information technology. Lundsten is responsible for implementing a new enterprise resource planning system and leads the information technology department. Lundsten reports to Jerry Payette, vice president, finance and administration.

The North American and international sales operations, marketing, manufacturing, and business development departments now report to Steve Metzger, executive vice president and COO. The directors of finance and administration, human resources and facility management, and engineering will continue to report to Ralph Lockhart, president, until his retirement at the end of January.

“These organizational changes enable Biamp to take full advantage of our management team’s breadth of experience,” said Metzger in a statement. “As well as better prepare Biamp to continue its success in a changing market, streamline our processes, and position us to capitalize on the opportunities the future may hold.”
