Biamp Systems says it is now shipping AudiaFusion, the latest member of its Audio family. According to the company, AudiaFusion brings together open-architecture DSP, multichannel amplifier technology, and device- and load-monitoring capabilities. It is the company’s first processor that can decentralize sound, power, and control data for an entire system, according to Biamp.

The networked amplified processor is CobraNet-enabled to allow for a decentralized system configuration and the ability to take processing to the end points. AudiaFusion uses built-in monitoring capabilities to indicate device or channel faults and includes support for channel-to-channel and device-to-device failover, the company says. When AudiaFusion is installed in a system with Biamp’s AudiaFlex, the processors allocate resources as needed, adds the company.

“AudiaFusion greatly expands the parameters of the AV system,” said Matt Czyzewski, by vice president of engineering, in a statement. “Now AV can truly be integrated into one strategy and system on one scalable network.”
