AV control manufacturer Calypso Systems has awarded grants to three U.S. schools through its Be Heard School Grant program presented by the Calypso School First Foundation (CSFF). The Be Heard School Grant will provide schoolwide Calypso WCM-RF sound-field reinforcement systems and installation to the three winners, according to the company.

The schools were selected from among hundreds of grant applications. The three grant winners are Holly Grove Elementary School in Holly Springs, N.C.; McWhirter Elementary in Webster, Texas; and Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis.

“We were amazed by the number of schools around the country that applied for this grant in its inaugural year,” said David Parish, president of Calypso Systems, in a statement. Our review committee was particularly impressed by the way the schools embraced the need for sound-field reinforcement in their classrooms,”

“This opportunity to engage and motivate more students would not be possible for our school had we not been awarded this grant,” said Rodney Dunklee, technology integration specialist at McWhirter Elementary.
