Extron XPA2000

The new XPA 2002-70V, XPA 2003C-70V, and XPA 2004 power amplifiers from Extron Electronics are reportedly the first-available commercial amps to meet Energy Star 2.0 criteria. They are compact 1RU, convection-cooled amplifiers in two-, three-, and four-channel versions, delivering 200W root mean square (RMS) per channel and up to 800W RMS total power output. Each uses Extron’s Class D Ripple Suppression technology for producing a clean audio waveform and better signal fidelity. The amplifiers have an auto power-down feature that automatically puts them in standby mode after a period of inactivity. They consume 28W or less when idle and less than 1W in standby. 714-491-1500. www.extron.com.
