With the help of a wireless keyboard and built-in laser trackball, users can control, navigate, switch, and interact with their HDMI-connected computers and devices via the plug-and-play solution. The HDMI Control Center also reduces the need for additional equipment, such as monitors, by managing content on an HDTV. One example, according to the company, is a user switching from an HD movie on a Blu-ray player to a computer viewable on the HDTV in order to quickly send an e-mail then return to the film.
Executive vice president Miranda Su stresses the company’s focus on creating new technologies that offer customers a complete computing and entertainment experience. “As convergence increases between these two mediums, we strive to offer solutions that efficiently and cost-effectively bridge this gap,” Su said in a statement.
