Matrox Graphics has introduced the Matrox Extio F2408 KVM extender for driving up to four displays, USB keyboard, mouse, and others peripherals up to 3,280 feet from the source computer over fiber-optic cabling. The company says it’s designed for mission-critical applications in process control rooms, dispatch centers, and other installations. It supports maximum resolutions of 2560×1600 via DisplayPort and 1920×1200 via digital or analog outputs, per display. The F2408 comes with four DisplayPort-to-DVI adapters, 1GB of graphics memory, and five USB ports for connecting peripherals. An optional expander unit allows the extender to drive eight displays from a single workstation at up to 2560×1600 resolution. 800-361-1408. www.matrox.com/graphics.
