The NSCA Board of Directors recently named Ron Pusey, president and CEO of Communications Specialists, as its new president. The change was made during NSCA’s annual member meeting in June during InfoComm 2010.

Ingolf de Jong, president of General Communications, has moved to the vice-president position; Ray Bailey, president of Lone Star Communications, is the new treasurer; and Kelly McCarthy, president of Genesis Integration, was named secretary. All have been appointed to two-year terms.

“We are at a pivotal junction within the industry,” Pusey said in a statement. “During the next two years, NSCA will have the opportunity to focus on changing technologies and systems, and what that means to traditional systems integration companies. This will help us show our members how to take advantage of these changes as well as understand the issues surrounding them.”

Pusey plans to focus on cost-saving programs such as NSCA’s SystemsPlus Insurance Solutions, create more engaged and knowledgeable business owners, and highlight NSCA as the voice of the industry through its advocacy efforts.

In addition, Paul Cronin, president and CEO of Atrion Networking Corporation, a 1nService Company, was appointed to the Board of Directors. With more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry, Cronin represents the changing scope of the commercial electronic systems industry, according to NSCA. His experience in both IT and physical security will allow NSCA to expand its member services to benefit these technology sectors of the industry. Cronin will also provide his broad knowledge of new revenue channels and business opportunities.

“I look forward to leveraging my 25 years of industry experience to provide innovative ideas that will help to expand the diversification of NSCA’s members and programs,” Cronin said in a statement.
