NSCA Offers Training Discount, Opens EST Registration
In an effort to help members reduce travel costs, the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) University is offering to bring existing curriculum to a company’s facility or build a new course to better suit a company’s needs.
In an effort to help members reduce travel costs, the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) University is offering to bring existing curriculum to a company’s facility or build a new course to better suit a company’s needs.
Three courses are currently available for on-site delivery or as the basis for a new course: Project management and estimating training; Technical Fundamentals of Audio; and technical training based on NSCA’s Electronic Systems Technician Training Series.
The training courses are available to as many as 12 participants. Companies that make their training reservations by August 31 will receive a $500 discount on the cost of the course, according to NSCA.
“Employees with job-related training are more productive, knowledgeable, and loyal,” said Norah Hammond, NSCA senior director of professional development, in a statement. “These are the members of your staff who contribute to the success of the entire company, not just themselves. Properly trained staff gives your company the upper hand by providing your customers with the most qualified and well-trained employees ready to work.”
In addition, for pros interested in enrolling in NSCA’s Electronic Systems Technician (EST) Training Series, registration is now open for fall classes. Training begins September 14 and runs for 38 weeks. The EST curriculum includes an overview of the commercial electronic systems industry, teaching students about a variety of systems, applications, national codes, and standards, while providing on-the-job training.
“With the great scope of material covered in the EST training series, students have found the flexible training schedule is a great match to their demanding work schedule-which can also be applied to the requirements of the EST program,” said Hammond.
Level 1 of the series begins September 14, and includes a combination of online learning and hands-on instruction. Registration fees start at $695 for NSCA members and $995 for nonmembers.
