Optoma says it will begin offering a cost-saving display and mounting bundle for the educational and corporate markets. Combining the company’s EX525ST short-throw projector and custom wall mount (BM-2021N), Optoma says it hopes to delivers an affordable solution that can simplify installations.
“Simplifying the installation process by creating a customized bundle will allow installers to confidently offer a more complete solution,” said Jon Grodem, Optoma’s director of products and marketing, in a statement.
The wall mount included in the bundle features a sliding mounting plate developed for the EX525ST that enables the projector to be used with a variety of screen and whiteboard sizes. Designed to be used in classrooms and meeting rooms with limited projection space, the network-ready EX525ST can display up to a 103-inch diagonal image when mounted to the BM-2021N, says the company. This positioning permits projector setup at steep angles, preventing the casting of shadows onto the projected image even when presenting just a few feet from the screen. A quick-release feature on the mount allows the projector to be easily installed or uninstalled for service or relocation.
According to Grodem, the BM-2021N was chosen because of its clean cable management system. “This mount offers all the qualities we were looking for to create this bundle. It was really the ideal match for our short-throw projector,” he said.
The bundle is expected to be available with a street price of $1,249.
