Sharp has begun shipping the PN-L601B touchscreen LCD monitor, a 60-inch display that allows users to mark-up digital images or scanned documents for presentations. The $13,195 1080p display uses Sharp’s own infrared detection system, which uses multiple sensors to pinpoint the location of the user’s finger or stylus on-screen. The panel comes with Sharp’s UV2A photo alignment and full-array LED backlight technologies for an evenly lit, energy-efficient screen that’s easy to read in most environments according to the company. The display has a 4,000:1 contrast ratio and 400cd/m2 brightness rating. Sharp developed pen software for the PN-L601B that enables the selection of pen colors and eraser functions right from the touch pen. 866-484-7825. www.sharpusa.com/monitors.
