Microsoft SharePoint is an integrated suite of server capabilities for content management and enterprise search.

X2O Media says it created a link to SharePoint in its Xpresenter platform to improve internal communications for digital signage deployers without adding costs. The feature allows a program’s content to be used as source material for digital signage screens. X2O Media’s templates allow information on upcoming events, company announcements, schedules, and business intelligence dashboard data to be automatically formatted and ready to display as high-end, broadcast-quality graphics and animations. Real-time alerts are shown across all screens on the network for any breaking news or emergency announcements, the company says.

“For digital signage displays, the link to SharePoint acts much like a live data link to a database, website, or other source,” said X2O Media president and CEO David Wilkins in a statement. “Once content is updated in the program, it will automatically be updated on the display. This allows users to improve internal communication efficiencies without having to invest time and effort in transferring content they have already created in another tool.”
