Yamaha Rolls Out Nexo PS R2 at AES
Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems launched its new Nexo PS R2, a high-output compact loudspeaker, at this year’s AES Show in New York. According to the company, the new loudspeakers deliver performance with high SPL and extended bandwidth, along with redesigned cabinetry and grilles, within the same compact footprint as the PS 8, PS10, and PS15 models.

According to the company, the new loudspeakers deliver performance with high SPL and extended bandwidth, along with redesigned cabinetry and grilles, within the same compact footprint as the PS 8, PS10, and PS15 models.
New mounting plates from the Nexo Geo series allow a variety of touring and fixed accessories to be used with the PS R2s. New sub-bass options now available in the LS600 and RS15-and new analog controllers and amplification options with the NXAMP-provide further versatility to the series, Yamaha officials say.
R2 upgrades to the PS series have reportedly been made without changing the series’ pricing structure.
“The cabinets will also serve as fill-in complements for Nexo Geo and Alpha systems,” said Albert Cardenas, acoustic systems manager, in a statement.
