The award-winning, successfully selling Stealth Wireless System from Alto Pro has prompted a premium pro version, unveiled at NAMM. Operationally, the Stealth Pro is largely like its basic namesake except with an industrial-strength metal housing, more detailed display and other “pro grade” features. The system allows wireless audio connectivity from any mixer to any active loudspeaker, effectively eliminating long cable runs; it works impressively well through walls, floors and ceilings. Stealth Wireless Pro contains a single dual-channel transmitter with a two-antenna system (either dual mono or stereo switchable) and a front-panel LCD screen with dual frequency display for RF frequency, channel, and AF signal level data. Mono or stereo, it is 1RU and two units side-by-side in a 19in. rack; I/O includes dual XLR/TRS combo transmitter inputs and one XLR output for sending signal to a powered speaker array, traditional amplifier-and-speaker combo, etc. I previously reviewed the original Stealth system and was very impressed.
