Anthem Statement D2

Paradigm Group’s Anthem Division has unveiled the successor to the Statement D1 preamp/surround sound processor. The D2 adds broadcast-quality digital video processing, and plans are under way to enable D2 features to be available as a factory upgrade for existing Anthem AVM 20, AVM 30, and Statement D1 owners.

Features of the D2 include four HDMI inputs and video transcoding of S-Video and component video signals, which are processed and enhanced for routing through component video and HDMI outputs. At the heart of the system is the Gennum GF9350 VXP image processor, which boasts fourth-generation broadcast-quality image processing algorithms for conversion of SD or HD video to other video standards up to 1920x1080p.

The Zone output allows the second set of component video outputs to be used for HD video switching for the second zone. Internal image processing replaces an external scaler and allows for convenient source-to-source switching, separate tweaking for each source, DVD-Audio playback through HDMI, and support for as many sources as the preamp can handle.
