With 150W in seven channels, JVC’s RX-D702B AV receiver packs two HDMI inputs and one HDMI output with composite, S-Video, and component upconversion and DCDi de-interlacing technology by Faroudja. A wireless USB input routes music from a PC or Mac hard drive through the receiver using a 2.4GHz transmitter that sends uncompressed audio signals over a range of 100ft. The RX-D702B incorporates JVC’s proprietary SmartSurround setup, which uses the speakers as microphones to help users set up the surround parameters of the system with handclaps. A Sirius Satellite Radio terminal is included with remote control capability. A separate JVC satellite radio tuner is required.
