Classé Audio Custom Theater Series Amplifiers

Canadian high-end electronics manufacturer Classé Audio launched the Custom Theater (CT) series. The CT series consists of four new amplifiers and a surround sound preamp/processor. The new CT amplifiers include 600W and 300W monaural models (CT-M600 and CT-M300), a 300W stereo version (CT-2300), and a 5x300W model (CT-5300). They are all AB designs featuring adjustable rack rails, a detachable faceplate, and the company’s cooling system called the ICTunnel. CT amplifiers are complemented by a matching surround-sound preamp/processor, the CT-SSP. As a 10-channel preamp/processor, the CT-SSP is able to decode HD bitstreams, such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. The CT-SSP features two Texas Instruments DSPs, each capable of performing 2.8 billion instructions per second. The processors operate in 64-bit double precision mode and use floating-point arithmetic for all audio signal calculations to ensure the most accurate results possible. MSRP: $9,000 (CT-SSP and CT-5300); $6,500 (CT-2300 and CT-M600); $5,000 (CT-M300)
