Comprehensive announces the addition of the CSC-7850 scaler/switcher to its extensive line of interface electronics. The CSC-7850 is a nine-input scaler/switcher for analog and digital video and unbalanced stereo and S/PDIF audio signals. It scales any composite, S-Video (Y/C), component video (YUV), HDMI, or computer graphics video signal and JPEG files via USB to a selectable graphics or HDTV output resolution. The CSC-7850 provides glitch-free switching between sources through Fade-thru-Black (FTB) switching technology. This technology allows the video to fade to black and then the new input fades from black for glitch-free and smooth switching. The output signal provides constant sync so the display never glitches. It is equipped with Silicon Optix HQV Video Processing. With Picture-in-Picture Image Insertion Technology, ultrastable picture-in-picture, and splitscreen capability, any video source can be inserted into or positioned next to a computer graphics video source with window positioning and sizing controls.
