AKG Discussion System CS3 Discussion System

AKG has introduces the Discussion System CS3, a modular system that offers a wide variety of different gooseneck microphone options that can be expanded up to 120 units. With a demand for a more simple solution stemming from AKG’s high-end CS5, CS3 provides users with a plug-and-play, easy-to-use professional system. The CS3 BU is a 19in. 2HE transmitting interface device, which controls up to 60 delegate stations. The base station can work alone or be remotely controlled by a PC (a feature that will be implemented later in 2013). Multiple working modes enable free or controlled speech as needed during a conference. The base unit is equipped with an extension plug to double the system size with an additional CS3 BU. CS3 CU (chairman unit) is the system’s microphone station, with options to mute all other delegates and activate the next-in-line feature. The station has a detachable condenser cardioid microphone, available in two lengths: the CS321 at 30cm and the CS521 at 50cm. The station provides a built-in speaker and two 3.5mm stereo jacks for headphones.

RevolabsExecutive HD MaxSecure wireless microphone system and compatible microphones now offer support for the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256) as defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). With the addition of the Executive HD MaxSecure products, Revolabs supports an encryption standard that is designed for compliance with the security encryption standards AES FIPS 197 and AES FIPS 140-2, established by the United States government and approved by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) for applications requiring advanced privacy protection. The rackmountable Revolabs Executive HD wireless microphone system is designed for demanding environments such as high-end boardrooms and large auditoriums. Each Executive HD unit provides support for up to eight microphones with exceptional audio quality; multiple units can be linked together to support up to 32 microphones per area. The Executive HD can be integrated with all control systems via RS-232 or Ethernet, making it a seamless, natural extension of any new or existing environment. An intuitive, front-panel LCD display provides simple control and configuration on-location, while management software is available for the convenience of remotely monitoring and controlling the system through its Ethernet connection.

BenQ MW821ST and MX822ST Projectors

BenQ announced the latest additions to its PointDraw line of short-throw projectors: the MW821ST and MX822ST. Supporting BenQ’s third-generation PointDraw interactive projection technology, the projectors facilitate a more immersive experience in classrooms and boardrooms by enabling integration of iPad and Android tablets, and greater interaction with new PointDraw Pen 3.0. The optional PointDraw pen enables teachers and presenters to write on any projection surface whenever enhanced interactivity is required. The MW821ST features a high WXGA resolution and a contrast ratio of 13000:1. The MW821ST offers 3000 ANSI lumens while the MX822ST offers XGA native resolution, 3500 ANSI lumens, and a short throw ratio of 0.61.

Crestron MP-AMP40 Amp

The Crestron MP-AMP40 amp installs easily almost anywhere and offers a low-cost amplifier solution ideal for conference rooms, classrooms, and boardrooms. It features auto power on/off, Class D topology, a fan-less design, and a special heat-reducing housing. The MP-AMP40 amps are Energy Start qualified to enable organizations to meet their energy savings objectives without compromising audio performance. MP-AMP40 also meets the requirements of UL 2043 for installation in environmental air-handling spaces, or plenums, such as above a suspended ceiling. Balanced and unbalanced inputs accommodate either a mono or stereo line-level source, allowing for direct connection to the output of a video projector or display, audio processor, mixer, or AV switcher.

RTI XX2 Controller

The RTI KX2 in-wall controller’s elegant design maintains the perfect balance between programmable hard buttons and display size. At 2.8in., the LCD is small enough to blend into any environment, yet provides the resolution necessary for displaying custom buttons, text, and graphics. When approached by an end-user, a proximity sensor automatically brings the unit to life. From there, the KX2’s infrared output port provides direct control of almost any AV component or lighting system from up to 1,000ft. away. The controller’s 12 hard buttons and graphic interface are fully programmable using RTI’s Integration Designer software. KX2’s integrated 10/100Base-T Ethernet port with Power-over-Ethernet provides the flexibility to accommodate any installation.
