Featuring a wide range of distributed EV loudspeakers, a Dynacord ProAnnounce paging system installed by Commercial Electronic Systems (CES) is flexing its muscles at the recently extended Inwood Health & Wellness Center, Joliet, Ill.

“The clients needed a reliable, high-quality zoned music and paging system,” says Ron Schaap of CES. “So, after discussing options with our Telex Pro Audio rep Bob Sheffield, we specified equipment from the extensive ProAnnounce range, in combination with various EV loudspeakers, providing a complete, input to output paging/playback system that precisely addresses the audio needs of their fitness, pool, office and reception areas.”

EV ZX and EVID speaker models (all in white finish) compliment the architecture in each exercise space at Inwood, offering a high level of intelligibility and coverage in sleek, compact enclosures: ZX5w’s cover the aerobics room, EVID C4.2 and C10.1 recessed ceiling speakers cover the spin cycle room, ZX1i-100tw’s (bleacher area) and EVID 4.2tw’s cover the pool surround areas, EVID 3.2tw’s cover the main concourse, EVID 4.2tw and Sb122w subwoofers cover the free weight/fitness area.

In the main ProAnnounce rack: 1x DCS 420 Audio Monitor Manager; 1x DPM 4000 digital 4×4 Matrix Manager; 1x DCS 400 Digital Control System; 1x DPP 4004 4-Amp Power Supply & Manager; 2x Telex FMR-500 wireless receivers w/ 2x EV N/D267a handheld wireless microphones; 3x EV CPS2T power amplifiers.

All in all, and appropriately enough for a health facility, the ProAnnounce system at Inwood packs a plenty of power and performance into a lean, mean package.

“Whether operating the DPC 4520 paging station at the front desk or programming seamless, full-bandwidth music coverage throughout the facility, the ProAnnounce/EV gear is really user-friendly, providing a high level of flexibility with minimal fuss,” Schaap adds, “and the system can be easily extended, if and when their needs change.”
