Extron FOX RS 104
Extron has introduced the FOX RS 104, a four-port RS-232 inserter for long-haul transmission of control signals to remote source and destination equipment over fiber-optic cabling. Each port provides a bidirectional fiber-optic connection to a FOX series transmitter and receiver for the insertion and extraction of control data, while maintaining a continuous passthrough link for video and audio. RS-232 data from the Ethernet port is inserted onto one or more of the fiber-optic outputs. Output reclocking on the inserter’s buffered outputs ensures signal integrity. Available in multimode and single-mode models, the FOX RS 104 is compatible with the FOX series line. Availability: November 2012 Price: N/A
