Mackie Big Knob

Mackie has updated its stalwart Big Knob monitor controller into a three-product series. Unveiled at the 2017 NAMM Show the Big Knob Series features three models: Big Knob Passive, Big Knob Studio and Big Knob Studio+ (pictured). Both Big Knob Studio and Big Knob Studio+ offer high-resolution USB interfacing, featuring two Onyx mic preamps with 60dB of gain. The most affordable Big Knob, the Big Knob Passive, requires no power, as its moniker alludes.

Big Knob Studio also provides routing between three sources and two monitor pairs, integrated talkback and dual headphone outs. Big Knob Studio+ adds even more features, including 4x3 routing, dedicated, amp-driven studio out for a headphone distribution system, and USB playback from a DAW with up to 24-bit/192 kHz resolution.
