New In-Ceiling Speaker Covers 2.2kHz of Sound Spectrum

Atlantic Technology’s first in-ceiling speaker is the ICTS-6LCR, which boasts a broad-frequency tweeter design and angled bass driver to deliver front-channel home theater sound without a sacrifice in performance. A specially vented and heat-sinked 1in. silk dome tweeter extends into the upper midrange, crossing over at 2.2kHz to cover a wider portion of the sound spectrum than typical in-ceiling speakers. The tweeter can also be pivoted for greater soundfield control, and a front-mounted three-position tweeter level switch allows installers to tailor the speaker’s behavior to the acoustical requirements of the room. The 6.5in. woofer is angled 15 degrees toward the listener to improve directionality in the lower midrange. A simple rotating clamp mounting system is employed for easy installation.
