Proton’s P47D5 is the flagship model in the company’s premier line of flatpanel TVs. Features include 1080p resolution, integrated analog and digital tuners, and HDMI inputs. Display modes include panoramic and zoom in addition to 4:3 and 16:9. Proton’s Puriti video enhancement technology is said to provide a wider color range than conventional LCD displays, and the set’s built-in artificial intelligence system analyzes color frequencies and intensity to produce natural skin tones and deep blacks. Puriti’s 3D de-interlacing and edge enhancement eliminate jagged edges from interlaced video formats. Additional features include 3:2 pulldown and a motion correction engine. Viewing angle is 176 degrees.
