VANCOUVER, Wash., July 7, 2021 – 64 Audio, the leader in custom and universal fit in-ear monitors, is proud to announce the launch of the U6t Universal In-Ear Monitor. Now available with an MSRP of ($1,299.00), the six-driver U6t has been designed for touring professionals looking for a cost effective option, combining all of the properties of 64 Audio’s acclaimed A6t custom IEM into a universal option.

“This is a significant launch for us,” said Vitaliy Belonozhko, 64 Audio founder and chief sound designer. “The U6t represents the culmination of some very hard work by our R&D and engineering teams to bring the A6t’s technology into a universal option that can be utilized by a broad spectrum of musicians and engineers. The U6t is a great way for bands to have backups of the exact ears they use on stage without having to have additional custom A6t IEMs on hand.”

In standard 64 Audio fashion, U6t is a balanced natural sounding earphone, slightly set apart from 64 Audio’s other UIEM models by offering a softer presentation of a mix. Beautiful upper-mid imaging, realistically presenting instruments like guitars and piano as well as breathing life into saturated mid-bass mixes, especially when vocal focused. Using the various included apex modules and ear-tips allows the listener to further customize the sound of the U6t based on the needs of the music.

“This is our lowest priced universal IEM, so it is also a great way for professionals to get into our products,” Belonozhko continued. “As the A6t is the in-ear monitor of choice for many discerning musicians and engineers, the technology shared with the U6t offers detailed highs, smooth mids, defined lower-mids, deep lows, and terrific headroom.”

Additional U6t specifications include:

  • Six precision balanced armature drivers
  • Driver configuration: 1 tia high, 1 high-mid, 2 mid, 2 low
  • Frequency response: 10Hz – 20kHz
  • Sensitivity: 108db dB/mW @ 1mW (84mV)
  • Impedance: 10Ω @ 1kHz
  • Crossover: Integrated 4-way passive
  • Isolation: -20dB w/ m20 module
  • universal shell: milled out of a solid aerospace grade aluminum billet

Headlining for the U6t is tiaTM, a technology exclusive to 64 Audio that works by eliminating sound-altering tubes and dampers. Sound produced by the tia system is able to disperse freely and effortlessly, yielding an incredibly smooth and musical frequency response. The U6t and features two major elements of the tia system: the tia high driver and the tia single bore design.

The U6t also features LID™ (Linear Impedance Design) and patented apex® (Air Pressure Exchange) technologies.

LID™ is exclusive to 64 Audio and ensures a consistent frequency response regardless of the source, perfect for musicians plugging into a variety of equipment. “Our U6t features a full and detailed sound signature that brings out the warmth and musicality in any live mix or recording,” Belonozhko added.

64 Audio’s patented Air Pressure Exchange (apex) is a pneumatically interactive vent that releases air pressure in a sealed ear canal. This venting alleviates listener fatigue and opens the soundstage. All of 64 Audio’s current IEMs feature apex technology and comes in three variations (mX, m15, and m20) depending on the model purchased. Unlike competitor venting solutions, apex preserves the bass frequencies and produces a more open soundstage, which helps the listener distinguish individual instruments. The apex module is also engineered with features to prevent vent-clogging and wind noise. Its compact and durable construction is virtually maintenance-free, designed for the most demanding users.

From studio to stage to sophisticated home audio environments, 64 Audio has created the industry’s most innovative universal and custom-built in-ear monitors available to date. The company was founded in 2010 by Vitaliy Belonozhko, a sound engineer who has been working with musicians and production companies for nearly two decades. Today, 64 Audio supplies products worldwide to some of the best-known musicians, singers, and engineers in the world, as well as discerning audiophiles who demand nothing but the best sound reproduction from their systems.
