Advanced Systems Group, Quantum Reschedule Free Archiving and Storage Strategies Webinar for August 21

EMERYVILLE, CALIF.–

Advanced Systems Group (

ASG

), a leading West Coast video and film integration firm, and Quantum, a global leader in data management and protection solutions, has rescheduled its free webinar on archiving and tiered storage for Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at 10 a.m. PT.

Designed for smaller workgroups that are considering an archive system, the webinar will explain the benefits of a dedicated archive system and outline a number of applicable strategies and technologies. The presentation will also highlight the new Quantum StorNext AEL500 Mini Archive, an entry-level archive that starts with 30TB of LTO-6 tape capacity and can grow to more than 1PB.

Dave Van Hoy, president of ASG, and Yannick Guillerm, technical advisor for the Quantum StorNext AEL Archives product line, will host the webinar. “Everyone needs archiving, and Quantum’s new StorNext AEL500 Mini lowers the entry point,” explained Van Hoy. “Our webinar will help attendees identify best practices for smaller workgroup workflows.”

Tiered storage and digital archiving address issues associated with overburdened storage systems, unprotected assets, and the expanding number of digital formats. Quantum’s StorNext AEL Archives provide active archiving to LTO tape, automatically migrating content without the cost, space, power consumption, and management overhead of conventional disk. Plus, with built-in data protection and self-healing capabilities, the systems ensure valuable data is available and accessible long-term.
