Designed for mounting into tables, podiums, or other furniture as part of a presentation system, the new TNP530 offers a wealth of power and connectivity options, including dual 12 Amp U.S. power receptacles, two USB ports, retractable VGA and HDMI® video ports / cables, one RJ-45 network connector, and a 3.5 mm audio connector. This innovative connectivity / power solution makes it easier than ever to enter a meeting or presentation space and patch one’s laptop computer into the room’s AV presentation equipment.
Of particular note, the new TNP530 incorporates two of the company’s acclaimed RT300 Series retractable cable systems for both VGA (RT300-121) and HDMI (RT300-125) video connections. When it is time to patch one’s computer into the AV presentation system, one merely pulls the cable up and out of the TNP530, and connects it to the laptop. When finished, disconnect the cable and it safely retracts back into the housing. The process is clean, easy, and remarkably functional.
Equally notable are the two 12 Amp U.S. power receptacles and the two USB ports. Laptop users will appreciate the convenience of having easily accessible AC power. Similarly, users of smartphones, tablets, and similar devices can readily charge their equipment via the dual charging USB ports—keeping them nearby and ready to use.
Completing the assortment of connectors in the new TNP530, the RJ-45 network connector makes it a snap to gain access to the corporate network or Internet. To ensure audio is as clear and robust as the video image that’s being displayed, the TNP530 incorporate a 3.5 mm audio stereo female to male snap in assembly to accommodate the computer’s audio output signal.
The TNP530 interconnect box’s input plate is accessed by pushing down on the top cover. The unit then auto-tilts open with assistance from an internal spring. Once open, the input plate remains securely in place. The input plate is hidden, or closed, by pressing down on the top cover until the latching mechanism engages. In its closed position, the top panel lies flush with the table’s top, held in place by the latching mechanism. This secure fit also means less chance for paperwork to catch the TNP530’s edges when being passed across a table—so documents remain clean and professional in appearance.
