Auri™, powered by Ampetronic and Listen Technologies
The Auri™ system increases access to clear, reliable sound for everyone
Listen Technologies and Ampetronic launched Auri™, the world’s first assistive listening system based on Auracast™ broadcast audio technology, in January 2025. Since then, Auri™ has been installed in various venues and settings around the world, including stadiums, houses of worship, universities, transit stations, and theaters. The award-winning Auri™ system includes transmitters, receivers, manager software, docking stations, and a line of accessories.
In venues featuring Auri™ Transmitters, anyone with Auracast™ compatible hearing aids, earbuds, headphones, or cochlear implants can choose to have venue audio delivered directly to their compatible devices. Ambient sounds are filtered out, so listeners receive only the source audio. This provides clearer, more intelligible audio.
Dedicated Auri™ RX-1 Receivers are available for venues to offer end users who do not have Auracast™ compatible listening devices. Audio is broadcast from the Auri™ Transmitter to the Auri™ Receiver, and guests listen via connected earbuds or headphones.
New Auri™ products to launch in 2026
Listen Technologies and Ampetronic are expanding the Auri™ system with new products that will ship in 2026. Visitors to the Ampetronic | Listen Technologies stand at ISE can preview the following:
- LA-470 Auri™ Ear Phone/Neck Loop Lanyard – The new neck loop lanyard is designed specifically for the Auri™ assistive listening system and provides an optimized listening experience for end users with telecoil- (t-coil) equipped hearing aids or cochlear implants. The neck loop connects to the Auri™ Receiver and transmits the broadcast audio directly to listeners’ telecoil devices. Users can seamlessly switch between telecoil mode and earphone mode based on their accessory choice. The Auri™ Neck Loop helps venues offer inclusive, high-quality audio and fully meet accessibility expectations.
- AURI-TX2N-B-A0 Auri 2 Channel Transmitter – The Auri™ Transmitter TX2N (also available with Dante, TX2N-D) is the central component of the Auri™ system. It is a sleek, low-profile unit resembling a Wi-Fi access point that includes a mounting bracket for easy installation on walls or ceilings. The transmitter is available in white and, for the first time, also in black. The new dark transmitter case provides venues with another color option to complement or match their space. It is ideal for theaters and performing arts centers, hospitality settings, museum exhibits, and any environment where the color would blend into the surroundings for a seamless look.
- Auri™ 16-way dock carry case – The new Auri™ docking case provides a simple storage solution for Auri™ Receivers. Venues can easily store, charge, and carry up to 16 receivers in the case. The sleek, sturdy case features a hard foam insert with individual openings for system components. It also has durable locking latches and includes a shoulder strap for easy transport.
“We’re excited to expand the Auri™ product line. We are providing venues with more choices to create assistive listening solutions that meet their unique needs and the diverse listening needs of the end users they serve,” said Tracy Bathurst, senior vice president and chief technology officer at Ampetronic | Listen Technologies.
Hearing Loop
Reliable, user-friendly hearing loop receiver makes it easy to access clear audio
In environments featuring hearing loops, the new LR‑3200‑HL Hearing Loop Receiver gives users clearer, more consistent loop audio, no matter how they hold the receiver. The LR-3200-HL features dual telecoils, smart bandwidth, hum filtering, and full iDSP compatibility.
Benefits of the LR-3200-HL for end users include:
- A more reliable listening experience – Dual-coil omni-axis pickup eliminates “dead spots” and ensures consistent audio.
- Improved speech clarity – IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) mode enhances intelligibility in real-world environments where background noise or acoustics can make hearing difficult.
- Optimized for tough venues – Narrow bandwidth and hum filtering help the receiver perform well even in venues with older wiring or challenging loop installations.
- Simple, confident operation – Field Strength Mode gives quick visual confirmation that the loop is functioning properly.
ListenWIFI
ListenWIFI 3.5 makes deployment easier, improves reliability, and reduces IT friction
ListenWIFI is an audio-over-Wi-Fi assistive listening solution that lets end users access venue audio using their own smartphones or a dedicated receiver. With ListenWIFI, guests connect instantly on the networks venues already have, making access flexible, inclusive, and scalable for any audience size. The ListenWIFI solution features servers, manager software, receivers, the ListenWIFI mobile app, and beacons that provide location-based audio.
ListenWiFi is ideal for higher education, corporate environments, and houses of worship, where ambient noise and distance can make it difficult to hear clearly.
New features and benefits of ListenWIFI 3.5 expected to be released in 2026 include:
- Support for WPA/WPA2-Enterprise. This enables dedicated ListenWIFI LWR-1050 receivers to authenticate and operate within enterprise-grade wireless networks. This also expands deployment flexibility and aligns with IT security standards in secure or large-scale environments like hospitals, universities, and corporate campuses.
- Connection Beacons. Beacons broadcast server identification information so devices can discover the correct server without relying on DNS (Domain Name System). This simplifies network discovery and setup, reduces IT burden, and supports multi-venue configurations on shared networks. An example would be higher education environments with multiple venues across a campus.
- Audio Priority Setting. Administrators can now adjust LWR-1050 Receiver buffering for optimal balance between audio quality and latency. This empowers venues to optimize performance based on their specific network and audience needs.
- Multiple Owner Accounts. ListenWIFI 3.5 supports multiple administrator logins, so teams do not need to share credentials. There is secure, role-based access for different administrators. This improves collaboration, accountability, and operational efficiency.
- Ecosystem-Wide Improvements. A suite of targeted enhancements has been implemented to improve performance, reliability, speed, and user experience. These refinements are based on customer and partner feedback and aim to elevate the overall quality of the ListenWIFI platform.
Applications of ListenWIFI 3.5 include assistive listening, video description, streaming audio from screens, and interpretation.
“ListenWIFI 3.5 optimizes the ListenWIFI system with upgrades and features that improve system flexibility, compliance, and usability,” said Cody Hall, product manager at Ampetronic | Listen Technologies. “We are always listening to the market and the needs of our customers and end users. Each enhancement and targeted innovation in ListenWIFI 3.5 is a response to that feedback and reflects our commitment to delivering personalized solutions and experiences.”
Attendees at ISE are invited to stand 3S600 to learn more and experience the new Auri™, ListenWIFI and Hearing Loop products. Listen Technologies and Ampetronic will also offer demonstrations of ListenIR and ListenTALK at the stand.
