ORLANDO, FL – June 17, 2015 – At InfoComm 2015, AMX®, a HARMAN professional brand, previewed the release of AMX RoomBook, an intuitive scheduling panel purpose-designed to be the world’s easiest-to-use dedicated room scheduling device. With support for the most popular scheduling software platforms and a panel-based configuration wizard, users are able to get rooms online and scheduling in minutes.
The bright, bold RoomBook user interface (UI) was designed to make scheduling meetings simple and straightforward. Room availability can be determined whether standing outside the room or glancing down the hall. The UI’s background color and LED side lights alternate between green and red depending on room availability status. If the room is being used, users can easily locate the closest available room or the next available time. If the room is free, users can grab it, start their meeting and the room’s availability is instantly updated.
Leveraging the style and cost-efficiency of the award-winning AMX Modero S Touch Panel family, RoomBook touch panels include SmoothTouch™ Technology, a brilliant, full-color, high-resolution display, wide screen viewing angle, low-profile design, and the bright, easily visible green and red side LEDs that have made the Modero S panel popular for room scheduling. Additionally, RoomBook touch panels are available in a choice of two sizes, 10″ and 7″, to appeal to the varying aesthetic requirements of most users.
With the ability to mount to any smooth surface including glass or stone, users can choose from a range of installation locations. Setup is a breeze, using the one-time, panel-based configuration wizard. Simply plug in an Ethernet cable, select a scheduling platform including Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Google Calendar, and IBM/Lotus Notes, and let the cost and time savings begin.
“Given the high demand for uniquely collaborative and efficient workplaces, it is critical for small and large businesses alike to deploy technology that enables seamless collaboration, saves employee time, and refines the utilization of precious real estate. AMX RoomBook enables a simple user experience for both the end user and the installer, while showcasing a market-leading design aesthetic that is only available from AMX,” said Michael Saadeh, User Interface Product Manager, AMX.
