ATR Treehouse Appoints Senior Account Manager

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island (February 16, 2017)—ATR Treehouse (Providence, RI), New England’s most respected source for event staging and audio-visual sales, rentals, and installations, has announced the appointment of Lew Abramson to the position of Senior Account Manager. “Lew comes to us with a wide breadth of experience in all aspects of the business, states Dave LaPorte, President. Not only does he have real experience in event staging, he also has in-depth knowledge of video production and business management.”

For the last three years, Abramson was the Director of Production and General Manager of Aesthesia Studios in Los Angeles. A multi-studio facility and production house with G&E, camera, and production rentals, he was responsible for all aspects of the operation from client development and staffing to equipment sub-rentals and capital expenses. He spearheaded still, video, and live productions for a variety of commercial clients including Twitter, Benefit Cosmetics, Vivaio Days, Robin Piccone, Broadcast Medical, and Woven Digital. “Lew’s experience will certainly round out the customer service side of our business,” adds Bill Murray, General Manager, ATR Treehouse.

Prior to Aesthesia, Abramson spent time as a live broadcast and studio operations consultant for TMZ, Maker Studios, KWHY Ch22, The Brixton Group, Sonic Pool, and Young Brothers Production. In addition, he actively produced, directed, and designed content for clients including Comedy Central, Coldwell Banker, NetChef, Abex, PowrdBy, Leaky Bucket Media, and The Movieguide Awards.

In 2005, and for the following six years, Abramson changed direction from theater production to TV and media as part of the team that launched the Emmy™ award-winning network Current TV, developed by AL Gore and eventually purchased by Al Jazeera in early 2013, progressing from director of photography and live studio director, to the position of director of production.

As part of his new appointment at ATR Treehouse, Abramson will look to further develop the company’s corporate and B2B media markets, particularly in the area of multi-camera streaming. “Lew will be a fantastic addition to our team, and we look forward to his new ideas for a wider range of offerings and even better customer service,” said LaPorte.

“After growing up in Newport, Rhode Island and receiving a BFA in theater from the University of Rhode Island, I have spent the past 18 years working in media production in Los Angeles before moving back at the end of 2016, Abramson notes. It’s great to be home and to be part of such a successful team.”
